Lokalhistorisk seminar. Statles rorbusenter og Vikingmuseet. 20. og 21.04.2007

Ca. 40 personer deltok på historielagets lokalhistoriske seminar i helga. Dette var det femte seminaret i sitt slag i Nordland i regi av Høgskolen i Bodø, og i år var det altså Vestvågøy Historielag som hadde påtatt seg oppgaven som vertskap.
Et par av foredragsholderne måtte melde avbud, og dette gjorde at det ble for mye fokus på fiskeri, og for lite på jordbruk. Likevel lot det til at deltakerne var fornøyd med seminaret. Det var deltakere fra Lofoten, Lødingen, Meløy og Bodø.

Blant foredragsholderne var: Alf Ragnar Nielsen/ Høgskolen i Bodø (myter om tørrfiskhandelen og samisk bosetting i Lofoten), Jan Vea/ Høgskolen i Bodø (fiskerbonden i Lofoten), Paal Christensen/ Museum Nord (Lofotfiskets historie i et globalt perspektiv), Kåre Olsen/ tidligere herredsagronom i Vestvågøy kommune, (husmannsvesenet i Lofoten), Ottar Schiøtz, tidligere leder ved fiskeværsmuseet på Å, Trygve Steen/ Destination Lofoten, Heidi Fossum/ Bodø videregående skole (utviklingen av reiselivet i Lofoten), Karl Johan Solheim/ historielaget (stedsnavn), Inge Strand/ Arkiv i Nordland (væreierarkivene), Svein Kongsjord/ historielaget (fiskerbonden etter krigen).
Svein Lundestad fra Høgskolen i Bodø åpnet og avsluttet seminaret.

I seminaret inngikk også en tur til vikingmuseet Lófotr på Borg, hvor Kjersti Jacobsen fortalte om utgravningene i museumsområdet. Hun hadde også foredrag i utstillingslokalet og håndverks avdelingen inne i høvdinghuset.
Deltakerne fikk også servert en nydelig lammesodd, og det var underholdning ved Robert Solberg på trekkspill og Svein Kongsjord med sang.
